Artist Biography

A holiday-turned-extended stint in the U.S.A, proved very fruitful for Melbourne's Jordie Lane, who returned home to Australia with a brand new unexpected album in tow this July.

Blood Thinner is Jordie's second album and is out now in Australia through Vitamin Records. Receiving outstanding reviews and radio features across the country,it has just been nominated for 'Best Blues & Roots Album' in the Jagameister Indi Music Awards 2011, and he's been nominated for 'Best Album' and 'Best male Artist' in the Age EG Awards 2011.

Jordie recently completed a 'sold out' national tour of nearly 30 dates across Australia in July and August, and is now on a seemingly endless tour with local and international artists including The Moody Blues(UK), Jeff Lang, Joe Pug (USA), and Henry Wagons.

After releasing his highly acclaimed debut album Sleeping Patterns in June 09, Jordie has since played sold-out tours across the country, including two Spiegeltent seasons, and has appeared several times on ABC TV's Spicks and Specks, and SBS's RockWiz, as well as being included on Triple J's "Like A Version Vol 6, for his brilliant version of MGMT's 'Electric Feel' with Jen Cloher.

Jordie has been invited to play shows alongside artists such as Cat Power(USA), Gotye, Loudon Wainwright III, Neko Case(USA), Charlie Parr(USA), Old Crow Medicine Show(USA). And major Australian Festivals including Port Fairy, Falls Festival and West Coast Blues Roots.
