He is the John Williams of public radio theme music.” -Scott Simon,Weekend Edition “Kenny White has earned a place among my favorite singer/songwriters… and particularly, lyricists. A true wordsmith AND musician he reveals a fine sense of humor, as well.” -David Crosby Contact:

BJ Performs NPR Themes with Orchestra Nova in San Diego Jung-Ho Pak, conductor
ShowsBiography
Two piano men, two musical paths.
BJ Leiderman, broadly known as the composer behind so many of the NPR shows that have been woven into the American tapestry; and Kenny White, a studio mainstay in NYC, producing critically acclaimed albums and hundreds of TV and radio “jingles” before embarking on his own tours. This year, their paths intersected. In early 2022, when BJ heard Kenny’s song “The Other Shore,” the affinity was obvious. They met in New York City for some musical collaboration and decided to merge their talents and join forces at center stage. In each show of the Piano/Piano tour, BJ and Kenny will perform separately and together. The concerts will be a triptych of songs, the stories behind them, and mutual piano prowess (with some guitar, too.) Audiences may wonder, “What took them so long to get on stage together?”
